Live-in Care and Home Care Services in Buckingham

Buckingham is a historic market town distinguished by its past as the former county town – evident in its Georgian architecture and the landmark Old Gaol. Its close proximity to the magnificent Stowe House and Landscape Gardens adds a unique layer of historical and cultural significance to an area brimming with charm.

Here, at The Good Care Group, we specialise in delivering bespoke live-in care in Buckingham. Our compassionate carers provide people with the support they need to live independently in their own homes during later life. We can support people in need of additional day-to-day support, care for complex health conditions and much more.

With our person-centric approach, we ensure that all care is tailored to the needs of individuals. You or your loved one will receive one-to-one support round the clock. We frequently monitor our care plans to ensure they evolve in line with changing health requirements and personal preferences.

Benefits of Live-in Care in Buckingham

There are many invaluable benefits to choosing live-in care in Buckingham over a local care home. The biggest one is that the service allows you or your loved one to receive care in the comfort of the home environment.

With a residential care home, you’d have to move into a new environment, which can cause distress – leaving behind memories, beloved pets and routines. Live-in care is built entirely around individuals, so existing lifestyles and routines are considered to ensure minimal disruption.

Our carers look to empower their clients to live independent and fulfilling lives. It means both they and their families have that peace of mind that expert support is always there.

Key Benefits of Live-in Care in Buckingham

✔ Remain at Home: Enjoy all the support you need in the safety and security of the environment you know and love best.

✔ Couples Can Stay Together: There’s no need to part – you can both be cared for together with live-in care.

✔ Bespoke Care Plans: Every person is different. It’s why we take a person-centric approach, with bespoke care plans designed to respect personal preferences, as well as address health and condition needs.

✔ Carer Matching: We believe a strong carer/client bond is important. We take personalities and interests as well as expertise into account when assigning our carers.

✔ Consistent Care You Can Trust: By directly employing and managing our dedicated carers, we guarantee consistent, high-quality care and provide the reassurance of continuity.

✔ CQC Rated ‘Outstanding’: Our commitment to high-quality live-in care is reflected in our ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Claire Curtis

Regional Care Manager,

I have over 18 years of experience in the care industry and started my career working for Hampshire county council. During the 13 years I worked for the council, I worked with a range of clients over 60, living with a variety of physical and mental health conditions, however mostly clients were living with cognitive impairment. One of my main roles was as a multidisciplinary partner, responsible for facilitating hospital discharge. My responsibilities included ensuring clients’ needs were met in line with family expectations. I gained many different skills whilst working for Hampshire county council and found it rewarding transferring skills I have learnt onto other members of the team. I educated clinical staff to ensure they understood the Mental Capacity Act and the implications on service provision.

I have supported many vulnerable adults living with dementia and I am passionate about supporting people with their personal journey to ensure their lives are stimulating, fulfilling and meaningful.

As your Regional Manager in , I am accountable for the service delivered to my clients and the support we provide to families. I have a team of dedicated care managers in Cornwall who work with you day to day to ensure that in partnership with you we create and deliver a high quality, holistic care plan which enables you to maintain choice and independence through personalised care and support. Your dedicated care manager will work with you, family members, health care professionals and the professional carers assigned to you to enable you to stay safely and happily in your own home and community. Through regular contact with you, both face-to face and via telephone contact, they will ensure the plan of care meets your evolving needs.

I joined The Good Care Group in July 2018 as a Care Manager and in April 2020 I was promoted to Regional Manager. I believe live-in care to be the best option for those who need long-term care as it promotes independence and companionship. It enables couples and individuals to stay in their own home with personalised one-to-one support which is difficult to achieve in other settings.
