History & values

The Good Care Group was founded in the UK in 2009 with a vision of becoming the leading provider of high-quality home care services that enable people to continue to live comfortably in their homes for longer. The Good Care Group delivers live-in care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Care is delivered in the homes of people ranging from those who can’t quite manage to look after themselves and need companionship, to those dealing with debilitating or serious health conditions and need assistance to live independently.

Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC

The Care Quality Commission (CQC), has rated The Good Care Group to be OUTSTANDING in all five categories for being safe, effective, caring, well-led and responsive to people’s needs, following an inspection in March 2019, the highest possible rating. The Good Care Group is the only dedicated Live-In Care provider to receive this unique rating.

The Good Care Group was recently acquired by Sodexo UK and Ireland.

Our advisors bring a wealth of experience to delivering home care services to older people – their credentials are second to none and they are committed to high quality care in the home.

  • “Personhood: it is a standing or status that is bestowed upon one human being, by others, in the context of relationships and social being. It implies recognition, respect and trust.”

    Kitwood, 1997 p8

  • “We have just visited home and are most impressed with all the hard work and excellent care that Helen is doing.”

    Mrs E, Castle Douglas

  • “It was easier to apply than I imagined and I was made to feel welcome from Day 1”

    Magda

  • “The carers matched with my aunt are perfect and care provision is exceptionally good – the consistency of the care team ensures my aunt is less worried about the future.”

    Mr P Gordon

  • “We turned to The Good Care Group after being severely let down by a home care agency, and we have been glad that we did so. Not only were the care team trained and experienced to support dementia, they took time to understand its impact on both my mother and father and their relationship. My parents are now able to live a peaceful life at home, despite the dementia and physical issues of older age, with warm-hearted caring individuals who have now become very much part of our family.”
