Mobility support and frail care
Discover expert-led mobility and frail care at home, designed to support your independence and quality of life. Contact us today, and learn how we support you at home.
As we get older, physical problems like arthritis, heart issues and joint replacements can affect our mobility, leading us to feel less confident in carrying out our usual day-to-day activities and tasks.
At The Good Care Group, we provide award-winning frail care, designed to maintain independence and dignity in the place you love most: home.
With nurse-led care and mobility support, we’ll take the time to understand your medical needs, routines, and wishes. Then, similar to our live in care service, a highly-skilled carer will move into the home to provide full-time support.
What is frailty?
Frailty is a specific medical state where a person’s resilience is reduced. For someone living with frailty, minor “stressor events” – such as a minor infection or a small fall – can lead to a disproportionately severe decline in health. This makes it essential that home care is led by experts and tailored to your unique physiological needs.
Frailty is generally characterised by issues such as reduced muscle strength, slower walking speed, and persistent fatigue. According to Age UK, around 10% of people aged over 65 live with frailty. This figure rises to between 25% and 50% for those aged over 85.

Erica Duffy
Regional Operations Manager, South
"As Regional Operations Manager, I’m proud to support families across the south of England, including London, Surrey, East Essex, Kent, Essex, Oxfordshire, Hampshire and Cornwall.
I started working in the care industry over 25 years ago, taking on a variety of roles before joining The Good Care Group in 2019. I love seeing the difference excellent home care can make in the lives of our clients. It’s so rewarding to watch them achieve personal goals, and live life on their own terms – and it’s great to be part of such a fantastic team of skilled professionals within the care industry."
Nyree Doyle
Regional Operations Manager, North
"As the Regional Manager I support the care managers in their role to ensure that we can deliver a high quality of care to clients in the comfort of their home.
I began my career in care 17 years ago as a care worker in the community of a domiciliary care company, this was when I decided that this is what I wanted to do. I progressed through the same company to being the Branch Manager and met a lot of amazing people and clients along the way. My journey with The Good Care Group has been the best career choice I have made. I love my job and I am proud to be part of a team that really cares.
For my skills and qualifications, I have completed the skilled management and skilled dementia programme from New College, Lanarkshire."
Why choose The Good Care Group?
With award-winning frail care, you can maintain your independence and quality of life in the place you love most.
In-house carer training
All of our carers complete a training programme developed by in-house clinicians before being assigned to a placement. Plus, they’ll receive additional enhanced training for complex care needs.
Fully managed service
We are not a care agency. We directly employ, train, and supervise all of our carers. That means you’ll receive consistent, reliable support, from carers we know and trust.
Dementia care experts
Our in-house experts, including Clinical Lead Sabah Shah and Dementia Champion Nichola Proctor, support our care teams to deliver compassionate dementia care at every stage of the condition.
Award-winning care
We’ve won more awards than any other home care provider for our service, training and culture. Including a Home Care Award, and a National Dementia Care Award.
What does frail care include?
Our mobility and frail care service is designed to be highly-personalised and built around your specific needs. Before care starts, we’ll conduct a free care consultation to develop a detailed care plan, which can include various types of support, such as:

Help around the home
Pet care
Support with social activities
Companionship
Meet our in-house Clinical Lead
Our complex care services are guided by in-house Clinical Lead, Sabah Shah, who specialises in complex care. By working closely alongside care managers and carers, Sabah ensures loved ones receive the best care possible.
"I’m Sabah, the Clinical Lead for the Good Care Group. I joined The Good Care Group in August 2024 and bring over nine years of experience in health and social care. My career in healthcare started with a simple goal: to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
Over the years, I have built on that foundation, gaining expertise through a variety of roles and challenges that have shaped my approach to delivering high standards of care.
I am a registered nurse with the NMC and I have worked in care for over nine years. I started as a Nurse, working in both hospital and community settings, where I supported patients with a range of acute and chronic conditions as well as end-of-life care."
As well as allowing a carer or family member to take a break, short-term care services can provide the opportunity to experience how live-in care works and whether it is the right choice for you.
What is the cost of frail care?
As frail care is a form of specialist care, it typically carries a higher cost of care compared to other home care services. However, live-in care can offer better value compared to traditional hourly care services. This is because other care providers tend to include “extra” charges to hourly services that can exceed the price of a fully-personalised live-in service.
Our frail care cost is typically in line with – and sometimes more cost-effective than – residential home care. We provide a level of dedicated, one-to-one attention that residential care simply cannot replicate, ensuring you remain safe and comfortable in the home you love.
