Live-in Care and Home Care in Manchester
Manchester is famous the world over – as a historic global hub for textiles (it was known as Cottonopolis for very good reason!), for its hugely successful football clubs and its massive contributions to arts and culture in the UK.
We’re proud to offer bespoke live-in care in Manchester and its neighbouring towns in Greater Manchester. Here at The Good Care Group, we have more than a decade of experience in supporting elderly people with their care.
We believe there’s no better place to receive care than your own home. Our professional carers are passionate about ensuring you or your loved one can remain there for as long as possible – whether you or they require basic personal care or support with complex conditions, like Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s.
Benefits of Live-in Care in Manchester
Manchester is a special place with an unrivalled spirit. Our live-in care service is here to help people who need care to stay in the places they call home; surrounded by the memories they’ve made and those they love most.
There really is no place like home – 97% of people do not want to move into a care home*. Live-in care provides a great alternative, with a dedicated carer moving into the home of you or your loved one to provide one-to-one support.
Having a full-time carer in the home provides total peace of mind – that support is always there whenever it’s required. It doesn’t always have to be medical support either. Our live-in carers provide help around the home, emotional support and companionship.

Claire Curtis
Regional Care Manager,
I have over 18 years of experience in the care industry and started my career working for Hampshire county council. During the 13 years I worked for the council, I worked with a range of clients over 60, living with a variety of physical and mental health conditions, however mostly clients were living with cognitive impairment. One of my main roles was as a multidisciplinary partner, responsible for facilitating hospital discharge. My responsibilities included ensuring clients’ needs were met in line with family expectations. I gained many different skills whilst working for Hampshire county council and found it rewarding transferring skills I have learnt onto other members of the team. I educated clinical staff to ensure they understood the Mental Capacity Act and the implications on service provision.
I have supported many vulnerable adults living with dementia and I am passionate about supporting people with their personal journey to ensure their lives are stimulating, fulfilling and meaningful.
As your Regional Manager in , I am accountable for the service delivered to my clients and the support we provide to families. I have a team of dedicated care managers in Cornwall who work with you day to day to ensure that in partnership with you we create and deliver a high quality, holistic care plan which enables you to maintain choice and independence through personalised care and support. Your dedicated care manager will work with you, family members, health care professionals and the professional carers assigned to you to enable you to stay safely and happily in your own home and community. Through regular contact with you, both face-to face and via telephone contact, they will ensure the plan of care meets your evolving needs.
I joined The Good Care Group in July 2018 as a Care Manager and in April 2020 I was promoted to Regional Manager. I believe live-in care to be the best option for those who need long-term care as it promotes independence and companionship. It enables couples and individuals to stay in their own home with personalised one-to-one support which is difficult to achieve in other settings.
