Specialist Mental Health Support Launched in Scotland
At The Good Care Group, we’re pleased to announce the launch of our new specialist mental health support service in Scotland.
This new service provides personalised, one-to-one support for adults of all ages, including those living with complex mental health needs. By delivering care at home, we can help you or your loved one build daily routines, regain confidence, and stay connected with family, friends and the wider community.
We developed this service in response to growing pressure on frontline services and the clear need for more consistent community support for people with complex mental health needs. By working closely with local services, we aim to support safe transitions home and ensure the right care is in place when it’s needed most.
The launch of our service has been featured in industry news by LaingBuisson, which recognises the importance of expanding specialist mental health support in the community – click here to read the full article.
The service is initially launching in Scotland, with plans to extend it into England once approval has been completed with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Laura Davies, Chief Operating Officer at The Good Care Group, has said:
“We have launched this service because too many people are caught in a revolving door between primary care and acute services, without the consistent, skilled support at home that prevents escalation and supports independence.
Scotland is the right place to begin because integrated health and social care is well established, and there is clear momentum behind strengthening community-based mental health support.
Our approach is specialist and structured, built on the same quality disciplines that underpin our dementia expertise: rigorous recruitment and training, continuity of support, and care planning that is truly personalised to the individual.”
Receive expert mental health support, at home
For families looking for compassionate, specialist support, this new service offers another way to live well at home with the right care, at the right time.
