About me
Laura has worked across regulatory compliance and safeguarding for over 20 years, and oversees our operations, ensuring that exceptional care continues to be delivered across England and Scotland.
She began her career at Warwickshire Police Force focusing on protecting vulnerable people from harm. Laura has a wealth of experience in safeguarding implementation, supporting Coventry Local Authority to take a college from ‘requires improvement’ to ‘good’. She then worked for over two years as Head of Safeguarding & Prevent at Ruskin Mill Trust, an educational charity which provides residential care. Here she was responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures and ensuring legislative compliance across the UK. This included working to outstanding arrangements for Safeguarding, regulated by Ofsted, CQC, DofE and the Home Office.
More recently, Laura was the Quality and Training Director for supported living provider, Aspirations Care, where she was nominated for the Outstanding Director Award 2023.
Laura is also an ambassador for Championing Social Care.
Laura believes that there is a current lack of awareness and knowledge around live-in care, with her primary goal being to help address the misconception that specialist care can only be delivered within hospitals or care homes. Her strong relationships with local commissioners and authorities are integral in educating the market about the importance of live-in care, ensuring this is front of mind when individuals consider their care options.
