Live-in care can help with hospital discharges during COVID-19
In a video interview, Dominique Kent told Home Care Insight that live-in care providers are ready to “step up” to help get people home from hospital safely.
Dominique Kent, co-founder of the Live-in Care Hub, Managing Director of The Good Care Group and chair of the United Kingdom Home Care Association, spoke to Home Care Insight editor Sarah Clarke about how live-in care can be a part of the solution helping to cope with COVID-19 outbreak.
Live-in Care Hub members are working hard to prove that live-in care offers a safer alternative to discharging vulnerable adults into care homes, as it mitigates the risk of COVID-19 cross-transmission between residents. Dominique Kent said: “The challenge we’ve always had with live-in care is that it’s not particularly well known. If it’s ever going to step up and be part of the solution, the time is now.”
