Good care warriors take on Tough Mudder to raise funds for young dementia UK charity

The Good Care Group participated in the very challenging Tough Mudder to raise money for their chosen charity young dementia UK

10 brave Good Care Warriors (Dominique Kent, Daniella Svrdlin, Heloise Pace, Serena McDonald, Rosie Robarts, Laura Johnson, Lucy Owen, Raya Zineddin, Marta Bednarz and Michelle Elliott) from The Good Care Group, completed the Tough Mudder Half course on Saturday 29th April, in Henley.

Teamwork was key to get around this very long and muddy course along with determination to raise funds for a charity The Good Care Group feel very passionate about – young dementia UK. The Good Care Group’s chosen charity for the year.

Many signed up unaware of the advanced training needed, nonetheless the team were fantastic throughout the 3 months prior to the event; with encouragement and support by providing each other with training tips and suggestions. Despite the chilled weather, barbed wire, 9ft walls, icy cold mud and water, the team had a fantastic time.

The Good Care Group team are very passionate about individuals living life well with dementia, including those affected with young onset dementia and are proud to have beaten their fundraising target of £1000, raising over an amazing £2000! Well done Good Care Warriors!
