Getting into the Christmas Spirit

As a live-in carer at The Good Care Group you will be providing the very best care at home. This involves spending more quality time with our clients, and building lasting relationships.

Our carers have shared many lovely stories with us about how they have spent their days with their clients. This includes stories such as going for walks and exploring the outdoors, baking cakes and putting up Christmas decorations. It’s always great to see how they have put a smile on someone’s face.

Tiegan (Professional Carer) shares her festive day with her client ‘D’ –

“D usually likes to be kept busy and to go out everyday, but with the icy conditions we decided to stay inside. With the help of Christmas music to get us into the festive mood, I created this cake with D.

I am by no means a natural baker, and this is only the second cake I have ever made but it was so worth the time it took to see D smile and to have a cake she could enjoy with family this season.

D didn’t want to cut into it as she said it took us a lot of hard work to make it. After some convincing, D and her family really enjoyed it. They thought I had bought it, which was a big compliment indeed!”.

If you want to be the reason why someone is smiling, start your live-in care application.
