Live-in Care and Home Care Services in Kent

Welcome to Kent, also known as the ‘Garden of England’ due to its wonderful fruit orchards, hops gardens and vineyards. It’s also the home to the White Cliffs of Dover, Canterbury and The Historic Dockyard Chatham amongst many other spectacular sights.

The Good Care Group is proud to support older people during later life with our live-in care in Kent. We’re passionate about enabling individuals to receive care in their own homes.

Our service sees a compassionate live-in carer moving into the home of you or your loved one to provide one-to-one support. All our care plans are person-centric, with personal preferences, routines and evolving health needs built in.

Benefits of Live-in Care in Kent

We’re firm believers the best place in which to receive care is in the home. Leaving the beloved home environment you know so well for a residential care home can involve lots of distress and significant change.

Home-based care ensures individuals can continue to live in the place they know and love so well, which brings a massive amount of comfort and security.

There’s also the person-centric approach, which addresses the specific needs of individuals.

Receiving care in the home also ensures people can retain their independence. Our live-in carers empower our clients to enjoy it – encouraging involvement in existing hobbies and interests and facilitating social engagements.

It fosters stronger emotional well-being and a better quality of life.

Lucy Scott

Regional Care Manager,

I am Lucy, I have worked at TGCG since 2019 where I joined as a Care Manager. I then became a Senior Care Manager before starting my current role as a Regional Manager in April 2022.

As a Regional Manager I work with my team of experienced care managers to ensure our clients are able to remain at home with the support of our professional carers. We work together and adapt the care to ensure our clients are safe, cared for and are at the centre of everything we do for the whole of their care journey with us.

My background is emergency care. I worked as a paramedic for 22 years before leaving to embark on a move into social care. I have worked in a dementia setting, learning difficulties, supported living and as a registered manager for live in care.

Downs syndrome with dementia is a particular interest to me bringing memories of some very special people to have touched my life.

I am a volunteer for Re-engage which is a charity for older people experiencing loneliness. I am also just beginning my volunteer training as a buddy for Macmillan which provides support for people with cancer and their families.
