Types of home care we provide in Ealing

When you’re looking for the right type of home care for yourself or a loved one, we know how difficult it can be to try and decipher between the different options available. The Good Care Group is proud to offer both live-in care and hourly care to our clients in the Ealing area. Find out more about these two types of home care below.

Hourly care in Ealing

tips-and-visitstips-and-visits Hourly home care provides the support you need, when you need it, so that you can keep living life from the comfort of your own home. Our hourly home care in Ealing can be provided for as little as 60-minutes per visit for a minimum of three visits per week, allowing you to choose how little or how much assistance you want and need.

During their visits, our professional carers will provide you with all the services you need to continue living the lifestyle of your choosing. This could include help with personal care routines, cooking and meal prep, taking care of pets or accompanying you on outings into the Ealing community and beyond.

With The Good Care Group, the hourly care you receive is flexible and completely tailored to your needs. All of the hourly care we provide is managed by our local care managers in Ealing to ensure you receive the highest quality of service. If you find that your care needs are changing over time, we can quickly adjust our care plans to meet your requirements with little disruption to your lifestyle.

Live-in care in Ealing

For those that require specialist support or round-the-clock care, our live-in care services in Ealing provide comfort, reassurance and peace of mind for families. As the name suggests, live-in care is when a professional carer moves into your home so that they are always a moment’s notice away from providing you with the extra support or assistance you need.

If you choose our live-in care services in Ealing, we will start by creating a bespoke care plan that is completely tailored to your unique needs, wants and preferences. We will then carefully match you with a carer that suits your interests and values so that you will receive the very best care in both body and spirit.

If you or a loved one require clinical care, we can deliver specialist, nurse-led care that is overseen by our experienced clinicians. Under our Specialist Care Service, our professional carers are specially trained to fulfil nursing tasks such as PEG feeding, blood sugar monitoring or stoma care, so that you can stay in your home even if you have more complex medical requirements.

So whether you’re living with a complex medical condition or both you and your spouse need assistance with personal care or mobility, live-in care provides the one-to-one care you need to continue living a fulfilling and purposeful life at home.

Why choose home care from The Good Care Group?

We believe that there is nowhere better to be than in your own home, which is why we are dedicated to providing the very best home care across England and Scotland. As the only live-in care provider to be awarded with an ‘Outstanding’ rating by the CQC, we are incredibly proud to be keeping as many people as possible living in their own home with our exceptional care.

Jessica Monaghan

Hourly Care Manager,

I’m Jessica, Hourly Care Manager for The Good Care Group. I first joined the company in 2019 as a Live-in Care Manager, which I did for two years before leaving to start up an hourly care service for a franchise provider in North London. I rejoined The Good Care Group in 2022 as the Hourly Care Manager.

As Hourly Care Manager, my role involves working alongside our client services team, assessing new clients, creating robust care plans and risk assessments of their needs and working alongside the scheduling team to find a suitable match of carer for each client to ensure that their care is set up to achieve the best outcomes. I may also need to work alongside our Occupational Therapist or Consultant Admiral Nurse when setting up more complex care placements. My role varies day to day, and a lot of what I do involves supporting my team of carers and my clients with whatever the day brings.

My career in health and social care started in 2010. Since then, I have worked in various roles including as a carer, care scheduler, care supervisor, care manager and registered care manager.

As part of my role, I need to complete regular calls to check in and stay up to date with my care team and clients. Every three months, my care team is called for supervision and clients have visits and monitoring calls to ensure that they are happy with the care being provided to them. Clients also have six-monthly or monthly reviews of their care. If there are incidents or accidents, I provide support to them to ensure the safety of everyone involved, ensuring to review risk assessments and care plans to prevent future occurrences. I also work with the training team and support carers with their career development. My role is to ensure that the care team feels supported and clients are happy with the care and support that they are receiving.

I hold a Level 5 in Health and Social Care and have supported individuals with a wide range of needs including dementia, palliative care, Parkinson’s, cancer, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, learning disabilities, autism, mental health and neurological conditions.

Alongside my Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management, I also hold a Level 3 in Education and Training, BILD Assessors qualification and an Open University qualification in Autism Awareness. I am a first aid instructor, moving and handling instructor and medication trainer. I believe that training is a vital part of the care role and continual development ensures the individuals that we support get the quality care they need.

I have witnessed both obstacles and successes within the sector and seen first-hand what difference can be made whether big or small in someone's life. I believe that the journey I have taken from starting as a carer to becoming a manager has allowed me to understand what support needs to be provided not only to the individuals we support, but the amazing carers that are providing it. I understand the importance of ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered, and enjoy leading and encouraging my team to work towards the best possible outcomes. I am an experienced care manager and have managed both hourly and live-in care in a home care setting. I have been able to see the benefits of people receiving care in their own home and remaining at home.

I am very proud of the journey I have been on to get to where I am currently in my career. I feel proud of my development and that I have been able to witness everything I have along the way from a carer to a manager.

Services we offer in Ealing

Better than an Ealing care agency

Unlike introduction agencies in Ealing, we directly employ and manage our carers, matching them closely to a client’s needs and interests. This makes it as easy as possible for our clients to receive the care they need whilst avoiding the hassles of becoming their own employer.

We have a rigorous recruitment process that ensures we only hire the most competent and experienced carers. Once selected, each of our carers is provided with industry-leading training that goes well beyond the statutory requirements. We operate nationwide through closely-knit local teams. This allows us to provide higher levels of monitoring and support than many other care homes or introduction agencies can offer.

Private care in Ealing

We understand how important it is for you to keep your independence. By choosing our private care in Ealing, you can continue to lead your preferred lifestyle without having choices prescribed for you. That’s the real difference between choosing hourly or live-in care over a care home – the care we offer will always be guided by you and your preferences.

Our professional and compassionate carers are highly trained to deliver person-centred care that is completely unique to your needs and requirements. If there are certain tasks that you would like to do for yourself, such as your own personal care routines, our carers will always respect your wishes. Our carers will never ‘take over’. They are there to provide you with extra support so that you can focus on what matters most.

How-we-provide-live-in-care

Ealing dementia care centred around you

As one of the UK’s leading dementia care providers, we have over 10 years of experience in providing expert dementia care. Receiving specialist dementia care at home can help reduce the effects and symptoms of dementia while providing much-needed reassurance for family members.

Receiving one-to-one care in the comfort and familiarity of your own home has far-reaching benefits for people living with dementia. A move to a care home is distressing at any age but this is especially true for people living with dementia that thrive on the comfort and familiarity of home.

We provided dedicated, one-to-one support that is completely tailored to each individual and their unique care needs. Our highly-trained carers work closely with those living with dementia to learn about their past, personality and preferences. Each of our carers is knowledgeable in a range of best practice techniques proven to provide reassurance, reduce anxiety and calm behaviours that may challenge.

We can provide specialist dementia care at home as either 24-hour live-in care or as short-term respite care. No matter which of our dementia care services in Ealing you choose, our carers will always provide the same high-quality care without compromise.

How-we-provide-live-in-care

Domiciliary care in Ealing

Domiciliary is another common term for hourly or visiting care. It is dedicated, one-to-one support provided for anyone that needs a little extra help to carry on living the independent life they want to lead. Unlike residential care, domiciliary care is provided in your own home, on your own timetable.

Our team of domiciliary carers in Ealing can provide assistance with a number of day-to-day tasks ranging from discreet and sensitive personal care to cooking and meal prep or even looking after your pets. Our domiciliary carers will be more than happy to accompany you on trips into your local community whether that’s visiting your favourite shops in Ealing or enjoying a lovely visit together to Walpole Park.

Respite care for a well-earned break

Respite care is a short-term and flexible arrangement that allows an individual to receive the dedicated care they need in their own home from someone other than their usual carer. Whether it’s covering for a holiday or due to a sudden illness or injury, our respite carers in Ealing are here to help so you’re not left without vital assistance when you need it most.

Everyone could use a break every now and then, and this is especially true for family carers. Respite care allows a family carer to take a well-needed break from their usual duties whilst enjoying peace of mind knowing that a professional carer is looking after their loved ones.

Respite care can be used as short-term support after a hospital stay or as emergency support due to a carer’s illness or absence. Short-term respite care also allows a family to try out a live-in care arrangement before committing.

Supportive carers in Ealing that are fully trained

One of the major reasons the Good Care Group was awarded an ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC was due to the hard work of our professional and compassionate carers. We are proud of hiring only the industry’s best and training them to the very highest standards so that they can provide our clients with the exceptional care we are known for.

We have a rigorous recruitment process to ensure we are hiring only the best carers. With only 2% of those that apply going on to become fully-fledged carers with The Good Care Group, you can rest assured that the care you will receive is of the highest quality. Each of our carers is supervised by an experienced manager and supported by clinical experts. A 24/7 emergency helpline ensures assistance is always available for our carers and clients.
