Celebrating World Photography Day 2025
For World Photography Day this year, we asked our carers to share photos that captured the theme “The Great Outdoors/Summer.”
We were absolutely blown away by the entries, from golden sunsets to bright, blooming gardens, and everything in between. Each image showed the beauty of nature through your eyes, and it was no easy task to pick just one winner.
And the winner is… Ana Madrid with her stunning photo of Lake Victoria!

We asked her what the story was behind this photo:
“I wanted to share this photo taken in Kenya at Lake Victoria during a challenge trip I participated in with a large group. The group included several tetraplegic participants and their support teams, who assisted them throughout the journey, including cycling alongside them.
I was the support for my tetraplegic client, who cycled 500 km using a hand-powered bike as part of this inspiring event organised by Regain Sports Charity, an association that encourages tetraplegics to engage in sports.
It was a truly memorable experience that showcased determination, teamwork, and the power of adaptive sports.”
A big thank you to everyone who entered.
We loved every single photo we received. Here’s a collage of all the entries so you can enjoy them too:

Thank you for helping us celebrate World Photography Day. We can’t wait to see what you capture next time!
