International Women’s Day 2024

March 8th is recognised as International Women’s Day, this worldwide event celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It also serves as a reminder for accelerating women’s equality.

Our team consists of individuals from various backgrounds, gender identities, and cultures that all bring something unique to the company. On this day, we wanted to bring your attention to all the female colleagues within our organisation that work incredibly hard towards the success of The Good Care Group.

Hannah Morgan, our Chief Operating Officer shares her thoughts on this special day.

“Whilst we may have made some progress when it comes to parity for women, girls and non-binary people, there is a significant amount of work yet to do – both in the UK and worldwide.

That’s why it’s so very important we take the time to celebrate International Women’s Day every year. We all have a responsibility to call out gendered assumptions and fight against discrimination, if we really want to see change.

Gender parity is about a century away according to the World Economic Forum, which means this campaign is very much for future generations as much as it is for our lifetimes. I’m fortunate enough to have worked with some incredible women in this sector from every level, from directorship level through to our support teams and, of course, our incredible professional carers. It’s essential we continue to promote equality, fight against discrimination and break the bias.

Very importantly, we should all take the time to celebrate the achievements of women across the world. International Women’s Day is the perfect opportunity to shine a spotlight on this topic and really shout about our achievements collectively. One mission for International Women’s Day is to forge inclusive workplace cultures where women’s careers can thrive and where their achievements are celebrated.

I’m incredibly proud to work at The Good Care Group, where so many women enjoy professional careers in a variety of roles. We have incredibly talented women working in technology roles in senior leadership positions and have supported young women through apprenticeships and graduate programmes to pursue careers of their choosing.”
