For over fifteen years, we’ve supported families across England and Scotland to live well at home with dignity, independence, and peace of mind. From our incredible carers to our in-house expertise, find out why you should choose gold-standard care with The Good Care Group.

Why families trust us

As we get older, maintaining independence in the home we love becomes more important than ever. That’s because staying alongside our cherished memories, pets, and family not only supports our well-being, it allows us to continue living life exactly how we want to.

Watch Alison’s story, and discover the peace of mind that comes with receiving personalised care at home with The Good Care Group.

In-house carer training

All of our carers complete a training programme developed by in-house clinicians before being assigned to a placement. Plus, they’ll receive additional enhanced training for complex care needs.

Fully managed service

We are not a care agency. We directly employ, train, and supervise all of our carers. That means you’ll receive consistent, reliable support, from carers we know and trust.

Dementia care experts

Our in-house experts, including Clinical Lead Sabah Shah and Dementia Champion Nichola Proctor, support our care teams to deliver compassionate dementia care at every stage of the condition.

Award-winning care

We’ve won more awards than any other home care provider for our service, training and culture. Including a Home Care Award, and a National Dementia Care Award.

Exceptional care, incredible carers

Our carers are at the heart of everything we do. Whether they’re delivering expert round-the-clock complex care, or sharing a cup of tea and a chat, we know they go above and beyond every day.

That’s why we’re committed to caring for them just as much as they support you, ensuring our carers feel valued and confident during every placement. Because when we have incredible carers, you receive exceptional care.

We ensure that all of our carers have access to:

  • Round-the-clock support, whenever they need it
  • Opportunities for career progression and development
  • Complex care training and refresher courses

Our carer matching process

Our specialist care managers take the time to get to know you during a care consultation. This will include things like your medical needs and lifestyle, but also your goals, personality, and hobbies.

We take the same approach with our carers during our recruitment process. We go beyond care experience – learning more about their life outside of work, their favourite pastimes, and why they love providing quality care.

This means that when we come to arrange care for you, we can match you with someone who shares your values and interests, as well as having the right level of experience for your care needs.

We’ve seen first-hand how this process creates strong client-carer bonds, based on trust, companionship, and familiarity.

CQC and CI regulated care for England and Scotland

As a fully-regulated provider, we take part in routine inspections from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in England, and the Care Inspectorate (CI) in Scotland.

We’re currently rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC, and ‘Very Good’ by the CI, placing us within the top 3% of home care providers for our safe, effective, caring, well-led and responsive care.

Recruiting the best carers

We recruit, train, and support all of our carers directly, which allows us to maintain the highest standards of care, while ensuring every carer shares the values needed to provide safe, compassionate support.

As part of our recruitment process, we ensure our carers:

  • Have a minimum of six months’ professional care experience
  • Complete enhanced DBS checks
  • Take part in a thorough interview and vetting process
  • Complete a four-day in-house training programme

Why regulated care matters for your peace of mind

To guarantee the quality of our care, we’re inspected and regulated by the Care Quality Commission in England and Care Inspectorate in Scotland, who are independent governing authorities. This means you can trust that our services meet the highest industry standards. Here’s a comparison of regulated vs. unregulated care:

Comparison of regulated and unregulated live-in home care

A 24/7 emergency line and centralised support, whenever it’s needed.

Regulated care recommended by families

I had confidence that The Good Care Group would find a good carer match for mum. Unlike some care agencies, The Good Care Group visit a potential client to assess needs and tries hard to find a good match the first time round. We were so lucky that a carer was allocated to mum’s care. She was kind, caring, experienced and had so many interests in common with mum.
