Winners of the Care at Home and Housing Support Management and Leadership 2020 award

We are extremely proud to announce, Registered Operations Manager Rebecca Malone-Robertson, has won the 2020 Care at Home and Housing Support Management and Leadership award.

The virtual awards ceremony took place on Friday 9th October, hosted by Michelle McManus and CEO Dr Donald Macaskill. The glamorous virtual evening was attended by The Good Care Group team, who joined other live-in and housing support organisations, to celebrate the achievements of the sector.

Rebecca was initially shortlisted and subsequently won the Management and Leadership award due to the hugely positive impact she has had on the clients and carers she supports. Her previous experience as a Trained Nurse has been invaluable in upskilling the central team and they have all reported that the changes she introduced have resulted in a more efficient way of working. The team are now able to support 40% more clients, compared to the same time last year.

Rebecca has a passion for personal development and coaching and empowers her direct reports to drive improvements and bring about positive change. Her recognition for the need of specialist knowledge and continuing to develop her team’s personal growth, Rebecca organised specialist training for her Care Managers. In the past 12 months the team have attended a Palliative Care event, led by expert Dr Kathryn Mannix, a virtual reality Dementia training course, and a tissue viability training day. Care planning and client outcomes have improved as a result.

The Good Care Group would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Rebecca on her outstanding achievement, her continued dedication to her team’s personal growth and the passion she brings to her role. Well done!
