Understanding Dementia Event – Saturday 28 September 2013

At The Good Care Group we truly understand how difficult it can be for the families of those living with dementia. Our established Understanding Dementia event provides families with an opportunity to meet with our leading dementia experts and ask questions to gain insights into the condition and how high quality dementia care can be delivered at home.

At The Good Care Group we truly understand how difficult it can be for the families of those living with dementia. Our established Understanding Dementia event provides families with an opportunity to meet with our leading dementia experts and ask questions to gain insights into the condition and how high quality dementia care can be delivered at home. It also provides you with an opportunity to meet other families with whom you may share similar experiences.

Once again our guest speaker is Penny Garner, founder of leading dementia charity, The Contented Dementia Trust and pioneer of the ground-breaking SPECAL method. The SPECAL method is a practical and effective approach to communicating with someone living with dementia that addresses challenging behaviour in order that the person remains content and calm. ‘The SPECAL Photograph Album, with its Three Golden Rules’, holds the key to a whole new way of caring for a person with dementia, and opens the door to lifelong well-being for everyone concerned. All our professional carers are trained to deliver the SPECAL method and we have won awards for its innovative application in caring for individuals in their own homes.

So why not join us at this event. Due to this events popularity places are limited, so please RSVP at your earliest convenience to secure your place.
