From the first day of your induction training, you’ll be welcomed into a community of caring people dedicated to providing you with everything you need to perform your role to the highest standard. But our commitment to your learning and development doesn’t stop there. As well as enrolling on our specialist training courses you will also attend refresher training courses annually supporting you to refresh your knowledge and skills so you can continue providing the best possible care to our clients.
Many of our Professional Carers are based in Scotland and we were delighted to be able to offer refresher training at our Scotland office in January. Sam and Daniel from our Learning and Development team packed their bags along with first aid trainer Paul and travelled to Edinburgh to provide our first training course in Scotland.
Professional Carer Valerie attended the course and said “Just want to say what a fantastic day I had at refresher training in the Scotland office. Paul and Sam helped me through both courses step by step,they were fantastic. Everybody at the Scotland office was so friendly and welcoming that the training day experience was made even better by the whole team. I hope I can do all my training at the Scotland office. Thank you all for a fantastic day”.
Rebecca, our Registered Manager in Scotland said “It was a pleasure to welcome our Professional Carers to attend our very first Scotland based training. It was great to get some time to discuss the areas of live-in care which present challenges and the areas which are positive and truly make a difference. I am always keen to hear where we can make improvements for our Professional Carers and clients.”
Training, supervision, coaching and mentoring are available to all our Carers and you’ll be given the chance to reach your potential with opportunities for professional development and career progression.
Daniel, our Training Manager said “It would be lovely to be able to have more training in Scotland, I certainly had a lovely time visiting. At the moment, we’re testing out our possible other refresher locations (including Spain), in the hope of introducing regular sessions outside of London in the future”.
