Meet Rebecca, our Registered Operations Manager for Scotland

Meet Rebecca, our Registered Operations Manager in Scotland.

“I joined The Good Care Group back in 2018, initially as a Regional Manager, before becoming the Registered Operations Manager for Scotland and now registered Operations Manager for the North Of England and Scotland. My background is in nursing and prior to joining The Good Care Group I worked within my Local Authority as a Service Manager.

In my day to day role I support the Care Managers and office team in Scotland with any questions or queries they might have. We are all working together to ensure that we continue to provide the highest quality care for our clients. I LOVE that no two days are the same and the wonderful, talented and compassionate people I work with.

Looking back over my three years with the company a personal highlight definitely has to be winning the Management and Leadership award from Scottish Care back in October 2020. I have also been supported to grow and develop. The Good Care Group’s leadership programme has truly helped me both personally and professionally.

My passion in working with The Good Care Group is knowing that we support people to remain in their own homes, as they wish. At home in familiar surroundings, our clients have the choice to live their life as they want. For me, knowing that they are being supported to the highest standards of care, dignity and respect is the greatest reward.

If someone asked me what it’s like to work with The Good Care Group I would say, it is fast paced, dynamic, supportive, innovative and positively challenging – there really is nowhere better! Three years ago I was worried about leaving my role in the public sector having been there in the main since qualifying as a nurse. However, it was the best decision I ever made. I love and embrace everything The Good Care Group stands for and the wonderful people I have the pleasure of working with.

Working during the pandemic has been challenging. However it has been comforting for our clients, their families and all of us at TGCG knowing that our clients were safe in their own homes with a Professional Live-in Carer by their side. I will be forever grateful to all the Professional Carers who gave up their own time and went above and beyond to stay with their client to ensure they felt safe and cared for.”
