At The Good Care Group, our team consists of individuals from various backgrounds, gender identities, and cultures that all bring something unique to the company.
Today, we wanted to bring attention to all the female colleagues within our organisation that work incredibly hard towards the success of The Good Care Group.
Hannah Morgan, Chief Operating Officer, had this to say:
“International Women’s Day is an important day in my calendar each year as it gives me an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of women across the globe, remark on the progress that has been made, as well as making space to consider how much more there is to do to reach gender parity, and how we can all help.
I have been fortunate to grow up in an environment surrounded by strong women and men who lifted up women to make way for more equity. If I think about the last 10 years I have spent working at The Good Care Group, the overriding feeling is gratitude; grateful for all the inspirational and influential women I have had the chance to work with, at all levels across the business. We work in a sector which welcomes female leadership more than most, and we are lucky enough to have some industry leaders help shape the growth and direction of The Good Care Group.
I have been afforded opportunities that perhaps I would not have if we worked in a different sector, which is a confronting truth. I have witnessed countless incredible female carers enhance the lives of our clients day in and day out, and am thankful for all the amazing women who work in our head offices. Globally, there is still a huge gender gap and a lack of equal opportunities. We all have a part to play in making sure we call our discrimination, gender stereotypes and seek inclusion. Let’s keep this topic on the agenda and do all we can to ensure we embrace equity.”
