Taking care of you

Wherever your care placement takes you, help will always be on hand. You’ll have 24/7 access to your care management team, a confidential phone line and the compassionate support of an Admiral Nurse should you ever need it.

We believe in shorter, more flexible working patterns that put life in better balance, helping you to maintain your high standards. And wherever possible, we’ll place you with a client who shares your interests and hobbies, so you can bond more quickly and enjoy your work to the full.

Taking care of you

Developing your career

Training, supervision, coaching and mentoring are available to all our carers and you’ll be given the chance to reach your potential with opportunities for professional development and career progression.

Like many of our team, you may want to specialise in caring for people with complex conditions – like dementia or Parkinson’s – or grow into a managerial role. Wherever your ambition lies, the team around you will give you the support you need to achieve it.

Carer community

All our carers become part of a supportive community, helping each other both in person and remotely. They have their own online forum, where they share experiences, advice, tips and best practice, on everything from the latest care techniques to delicious home-cooked recipes.

Our training

Endorsed by Age UK

Our professional carer training has recently been endorsed by Age UK. After reviewing our training materials, teaching sessions and overall objectives, they have given our training programme their stamp of approval.

Their full testamonial reads:

“Age UK has reviewed the training provided by The Good Care Group to its professional carers and has found it to be of high quality, going above industry expectations to give carers the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to ensure that their clients receive a high level of care. Age UK reviewed training in a number of key mandated areas, including dementia, end-of-life care, safeguarding, mental capacity, medication management and infection control, and are happy to commend the quality of this training. The Good Care Group’s training is well aligned with the way(s) in which Age UK believe older people should be treated and cared for, particularly the ways in which individuals are provided with person-centred care where maintaining independence is the aim.”
