Our Home Care Services
Live-in home care
We provide 24 hour live in home care and day care services delivered through a number of high quality support packages, tailored and personalised to our individual client’s needs.
All our professional carers are matched carefully to our clients to ensure they don’t just meet their care needs, but that personalities and interests are effectively aligned. We aim to ensure consistency of care delivery so you will generally be placed with one client. For those carers who require flexibility and variety, we do have opportunities for you to experience a variety of placements.
A typical client care plan would include one or more of the following elements to be delivered by the carer:
- Daily personal care
- Mobility support
- Specialist support and care for complex conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease and stroke rehabilitation.
- Medication administration
- Cooking and light household duties
- Care of pets and gardens
- Lifestyle support to maintain interests and social activities, in and away from the home
- Holiday support away from the home
- Liaising with medical and health professionals to deliver an optimum programme of care
Day care
We do provide a day care package, which is generally provided in London for 7-12 consecutive hours a day, for a minimum of 5 days a week. Our service is about continuity of care where a relationship is developed that enriches life and enhances overall wellbeing. Therefore, we do not provide hourly care packages – we do not believe this allows sufficient time for that relationship and bond to develop and does not allow for the delivery of high quality home care. Carers who provide day care are generally placed with one or two clients on a long term basis.
Our clients
We are registered with the regulator the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to provide our high quality live in home care service across England and the majority of our existing clients are currently located in London, the Home Counties, the South and South East. However, location is not the only factor we consider when placing you with your client.
Our clients generally pay for their own home care, although we do have a number of clients who receive Primary Care Trust (PCT) Continuing Care funding where there is an established health need.
Our clients are elderly individuals who require an element of support in the home to allow them to manage and enjoy life again. This ranges from issues with frailty and mobility, to those who are living with complex conditions, such as dementia or Parkinson’s or those who require end-of-life palliative care, through to individuals who simply require a companion. We provide care for individuals and couples, providing the necessary support to allow them to stay together for as long as possible living in the safety and comfort of their own home.
We also provide respite care (for a minimum of one week), post-operative rehabilitation and support for those recovering from serious or terminal illnesses, such as cancer or a stroke.
Currently many of our clients are living with dementia or some form of cognitive impairment/memory loss. We use a number of best practice techniques developed by leading experts in the field of dementia care, including the SPECAL method to deliver specialist support at home, for which we have won an industry award.
Read our client case study to see how we have made a real difference to one of our client’s lives using the SPECAL method.
